Jon May has more than fifteen years of experience acquiring, developing, and creating value for large consumer-branded retail, restaurant, and food and beverage-based businesses.

Prior to co-founding Catalytic Capital, Jon was Senior Vice President of Corporate Development for Triarc Companies (NYSE: TRY), where he was responsible for merger identification and execution, corporate finance, and planning. While at Triarc, he served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Triarc Restaurant Group, owner of Arby's and T.J. Cinnamons, where he managed the growth of 3,400 restaurants comprising $2.4 billion of global system-wide sales, grew free cash flow from (-$9 million) to $66 million, divested 350 company-owned stores, led a $290 million securitization of royalty stream for a parent company dividend, and acquired a 239 store franchisee out of bankruptcy. He began his career at McKinsey & Company, developing strategies for a number of consumer product, retail, and manufacturing companies.

Jon currently serves on the Boards of Directors of the 92nd Street Y, Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City, and Ethical Culture Fieldston School; served on the Board of Directors of MarketWatch.com (NASDAQ: MKTW); and was a member of Young Presidents' Organization.

Jon graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Cornell University.
